My union has thrown down the gaunlet on public option!

If enough people and organizations do the same thing, who knows? Congress might start listening.

Due to this, my union, the Sheet Metal Workers International Association (SMWIA), has decided to suspend all financial and intangible campaign activity in support of every political candidate until real health care reform is passed."

I've upset a couple of DNC & DSCC callers this week - said I'm mad as hell and not giving another cent until the Democrats pass a health care plan that has at least a public option plan.

Maybe it's time for the lunatic fringe right and the progressive/liberal left to split from the main parties so we have a true multi-party system - break the stranglehold that the dems & repubs have over the entire process.
