If Cindy Sheehan and her supporters had carried firearms outside Bush's ranch...
how much "outrage" would the rightwingers have spewed over the airwaves and the Internet?

Also, how quickly do you suppose they would have all been "renditioned," never to be seen again?

2. If it were not fully concealed with a permit, it would have been illegal in TX
Arizona, New Hampshire, and Pennsylvania have laws that legalize being able to open carry.

13. But, legally, that is the point
You asked what would happen to Cindy Sheehan, and the answer based upon Texas law, is that she would be arrested for a Class A misdemeanor, unlawful possession of a weapon, punishable by a year in jail and a $4,000 fine, under Chapter 46 of the Penal Code. This potential conduct, however, may be legal in other states with no legal recourse available by authorities.

I don't believe that if the authorities had the opportunity, they would not press charges on those who are openly carrying firearms at a public protest within walking distance of the President of the United States.

12. We're seeing very clearly the double standard that exists in this country.
We're in the majority, we have the White House and still, our president is basically being stalked by these freaks.

15. That would have been the end of Cindy and her VFP escort, wouldn't it? I will never forget...
... her courage that day. She was made to walk in a ditch and then stood in the hot Texas sun until she got sick from it. Her friends were not allowed to return to their vehicle in order to get water. Baby Caligula hid out without showing the slightest particle of compassion. What would it have cost him in political capital to invite her to the porch for some ice tea? Or even to send out a six-pack of bottled water?

I have my doubts about Cindy's methods since Jan. 20 of this year, but as far as I'm concerned she earned her own medal that summer. Rest in peace, Casey. Your mother is one gutsy lady, and we're trying to take it from here.

Hekate

The OP is about how the Right would react to anyone being visibly armed near the Chimperor.
