A message to anti-public option Senators and Blue Dogs.
You don't want to listen to your constitutents, but rather to the corporations that line your pockets with money? Fine. We, the progressive Democrats, who have worked extremely hard in 2006 and 2008 will just sit at home in 2010, not going to bother to vote for any Blue Dogs or Senators who refuses to vote for the public option or single payer health plan. We, the progressive Democrats, promise to support any viable progressive challengers who are ready to take the reins and remember who voted them in - if they win. If the Republicans win in 2010, it's not our fault - it's YOUR fault.

I hope the message is loud and clear to you - especially you, Max "I'll ignore everyone but my corporate masters" Baucus.

1. Did you see Obama keep roping him in the other day when he was at the
Town Hall in MT? "That's why Max and I want..." "That's what Max is working so hard for..." I swear Baucus was squirming in his seat screaming "shut up!" in his head. It was beautiful.

In case you missed that, the poll found that on the issue of health care, Baucus is more popular among Montana Republicans than Democrats — by a margin of 15 points.
That’s not all.
Do you favor or oppose creating a new public health insurance plan that anyone can purchase?

3. I wonder
I know that there is the DLC which solicits funds for Dems.

But, I wonder, is there an organization within the Democratic party that solicits funds only for progressive Democratic members? It is not enough to say that we will not vote...(which we should), but rather maybe what should be done is build some large fund for progressive democratic challengers to the 'blue dogs' and the 'corporate butt kissers'. With our numbers and a small monthly pledge to such a fund - by 2010, 2012 - we could kick butt.

I support the president, but if he won't lead, then he needs to get the hell out of way and let someone else carry the flag.

7. I think progressive fundraisers are all outside of the party
Anyone can correct me if I'm wrong.

There may be a PAC for the Congressional Progressive Caucus...?

I think the true progressive organizations that raise funds are BlueAmerica and Democracy for America (Howard Dean).

I'm through giving to the DNC, DSCC & DCCC - I'm focusing on progressive individuals, BlueAmerica, etc.

in the next election if you choose to ignore the voters who actually voted for you!

6. I'd love to see Baucus...
...have his ass handed to him as payback for his corruption. He is a worthless turd.

8. But, don't you understand...?
the left and the "liberals" are such a small group that they will have little impact on any election, even if they sit it out? That seems to be what they believe?
