Should we laugh or cry over this?

Before all that sparking started, South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford was about to publish a serious book, as befits anyone with serious presidential aspirations. But then Sanford went hiking the Appalachian Trail. His wife left him, the press hounded him, his presidential hopes evaporated, and his book deal was cancelled.

Just another waste of paper and ink that was thankfully averted. His opening is one of the least compelling statements I have read in a while. This was to be a 'passionate call'? Meh.

7. I wonder what his 17 year old son

thinks about the legacy of freedom, prosperity and optimism his dad has left him with. I wonder what happened to those other values - honesty, integrity and loyalty that are often added to the GOP mantra.

I really feel bad for the kids in all of this. Having their conservative family values spouting father's indiscretions plastered all over every newspaper in the country has to be pretty humiliating.

14. Strange how laughter looks like crying with no sound.

How do we make sure the next generation has a lower percentage of nutters. There are at least 20% of rabid nutters running around now causing all these problems. 20 percent is enough because they are all active and in your face types.
