Kyl: "I Don't Think A Single Republican" Will Support Health Care Reform

In an interview with Fox News' Neil Cavuto, Sen. Jon Kyl (R-Ariz.) affirmed that neither health care reform bill currently in circulation will get any Republican support. "For either the bill that passed the House Committee or the bill that passed the HELP committee in the Senate, I don't think a single Republican in the Senate would support either of those bills," he said confidently. Kyl went on to say that negotiations between Republicans and Democrats on the Senate Finance Committee have become "very difficult because" of "liberals in both the House and the Senate."

There ya go. Why on earth are we even talking to them?

1. What about Hagel and Lugar?
They don't seem to take marching orders to heart and seem to actually think about issues.

7. Hagel retired. He is not there anymore.
Only Rethugs I see open to it would be Snowe, Collins, or maybe Lugar. The rest, forget about it.

8. Screw 'em, start playing hardball with the blue dog dems, pass some real reform that works ...
and without any republican support, they will lose the electorate for a generation.

It's time to stop playing nice Mr. Obama, you gave it an honest try and they spit in your face. It's now time to twist some arms and thump some heads.

4. We want as many of them to admit they won't vote for it as possible.
It pretty much clears our way.

11. Look at Kyl's voting record
As my Senator, Kyl has voted against anything and everything that would help Arizonan's, the troops/veteran's (Southern AZ, Kyl's district is home to US Military Intelligence Command, Davis Monthan AirForce Base and the Regional VA Medical Center), and Nation as a whole. His voting against any form of healthcare reform should be no surprise to anyone. This is a prime example of citizens voting against their own best interests. Check his voting record......He got his and the hell with anyone else.

10. Are there any polls showing this will help or hurt them in the next election??
I didn't think so.

No matter what they do, they get no negative press from the mainstream media. It's always some fringe group - it's never the Republican Party or their leadership. But, look at Obama's polls plummeting because of healthcare! Look at those blue dogs and liberals fighting each other! What could Obama have done differently? etc...etc..

But nothing about the tactics or the lies or the gun toters and how it affects the Republicans in the polls? I guess they just forgot to ask??

12. Lugar is a weak maybe, but the women from Maine have shown some spine
Certainly more than their male Republican counterparts. Not always, far from it, but they have proved
they are not total right wing robots, either.

14. In my "dream" scenario
(note that Ashling is Gaelic for dream) he is right ... and several Repubs (I have no idea who) switch to the Democratic party just before they vote.
