For newer members or anyone not familiar wwith "morans" or "morels".

4. I was thinking the same thing
My grandfather and I used to gather them in the woods. Cooked in a little butter with just a bit of salt and pepper. Yummmmmm

5. Are you series?
I have always wondered about this one. I can understand being one letter off like with moran or morels. But how do you get from "aspersions" to "asparagus"? That requires a special case of teh stupid. :shrug:

20. Yes, I tried an experiment
I opened up a text file using Open Office and typed "asparsions." The spell-checker offered up various choices such as "aspartames" and "usurpation." The poster was probably in a hurry to express his or her self and made the wrong selection.

This is the picture that started it. No one seems to know who this guy is. I'm sure he got a hair cut, lost the mustache and acquired some decent clothes to better hide.
The picture was taken by a DU'er who 'helped' him with the spelling on his sign. He originally only had 'brain' misspelled. Then the DU'er convinced him that he had 'moron' misspelled also.
