He should remember who put him there with a theft-proof majority that was so overwhelming even that fat slob of a spin meister KKKarl Rove decreed there would be no vote tampering this time around.
Which begs the question... "Didn't he just therefore admit such practices had taken place in previous elections?" But who's counting...
He should remember that when he was a mere political pissant of a state senator in Illinois, he advocated for single payer and he's
busted on tape saying exactly that. That's followed by a marvelous tap dancing routine by US senator and presidential candidate Obama from last year's endless campaign. Too bad he started hanging around with assholes like Lieberman, Reid and Clinton instead of Senator Bernie.
Obama got around 52 percent of the popular vote according to exit poll estimates. That translated into 69,456,897 ballots. I'd guess the vast majority of those voters wanted something besides a continuation of Bushean-era malfeasance and malevolence.
So here we are, being held hostage by 40 GOPpiggies and a few Lieberman types in the senate, while this hideous species called "blue dogs" tries to hijack the House vote as well.
However, he's still got the public cred and congressional numbers to tell the GOP to fuck off and spend the rest of their terms in complete oblivion, claiming that poll after poll showing massive support for single payer or at least some half-assed public option are manipulated or fabricated.
I'd say a couple of raised presidential middle fingers, directed at the red side of both aisles, would work wonders right about now.
