We did it a bit differently though. For those bashing the Woodstock crowd, isn't it time to put sandals to the pavement? What are we, 6,7 years into Iraq now?

3. Get off your rocking chair and take a look at the last few years; might notice some crowds

But it's easier to just sneer at Kids These Days without any real need to back up your attitude, right?

10. I've seen plenty of young people at the rallies
And I've been to quite a few. SF had three before Bush's Iraq war, and in each one tens of thousands marched. There were thousands of young people there.

Why foment this generational warfare? I just don't get it.

12. Because locally the rallies have had an average age of mid thirties
not 19

And in my view it is clear the kids need to get out more.

Reality it is not just the kids, but the kids need to as well.

If the aveage was around 25 I'd be very happy actually.

And pointing this out is not generation warfare, marches are but one tool in the tool box. The other is truly the twitter and other tech, were the old foggies lag, and distrust.

So you are talking for your experience and I am talking from mine. Locally it is mid thirties. And yes I do suspect one reason is the fact that lives are not on line.

16. The pictures are striking: college kids and a sea of mostly white faces............
I don't favor it, but it's what it took back then.
