2. Hopefully that doctor will have his medical license permanently revoked.
My god, it's sad when people throw all their ethics and oaths out the window for a bit of cash.

4. If they prove it before a Jury, he is looking at 10-25 in the pokey
that is the truth

And as to ethics and all that for a little cash, happens all the time... unfortunately

5. According to my reliable source (my sister the pharmacist)
Edited on Mon Aug-24-09 04:15 PM by rocktivity
Propofol is not a drug in the traditional sense but a general anesthetic. It's supposed to be dispensed by an actual anesthesiologist who is REQUIRED to use certain equipment, and the patient is NEVER to be left alone. Generally speaking, it has absolutely no business being used outside of an operating room.

An argument can therefore be made that Dr. Murray recklessly and/or negligently engaged in behavior that he either knew or should have known could result in death--also known as second-degree manslaughter.

8. They'll blame libs for the sun rising in the east
now what will be fun is how they will deal with this story... I mean it was a libby, who is you know not like them, who died at the hands of another who is not like them (Yes they are that racist), and now a special prosecutor

It is more like... pass me the popcorn for a wonderful exploding brains... scenario.

DUCK... INCOMING.

:-)

9. But... but... but...
Jackson BEGGED for the drug! He BEGGED!

:eyes:

The doctor will have a hard time finding peace in prison.

That's my hope, anyway.

No rest for the wicked... that's how it should be.

11. And that is WHY I hate VIP medicine.
It is either STELLAR or TERRIBLE... no middle ground.

12. My employer, a doctor who specializes in pain management, is also a licensed anesthesiologist.
He said the same thing.

13. Good for him! I guess most folks with a clue about this drug
had the same reaction actually.

:-)

Now lets see if the DA does NOT muck the case up. As is, finding a jury that has not heard of this case will be next to impossible.

14. no, dear, you're not that good, but you sure have a compulsion to announce that in thread
after thread. Oh, and everyone knows that it's a drug that's strictly limited in use to in OR applications. The media wasted no time in making that clear.

16. Ok, they may convict the doctor after a sensationalistic trial
that diverts attention away from REAL issues, but in the end, will it really deter future doctor-whores from taking megabucks from rich people to supply what they're going to eventually get anyway?

17. Actually finding a JURY pool that is not polluted will be fun NOT
as to spectacular, depends. I will not be shocked in the least if they move the venue... to an ahem less spectacular area of the country.

As to VIP Medicine, as I said above, either it is extremely good... or extremely bad... no middle ground.

I could tell stories from the few times... but that would not be ethical. Suffice it to say... VIPs can be a fucking pain in the ass... and I am sure MJ, and a few others make the prima donnas I took care off, look like reasonable people.

18. I'd be willing to bet
that none of the VIPs you treated got treatment under a fake name. Right there, when you can find a doctor who will do that, you've found a doctor who will eventually do anything for the right price.
