Glenn Beck blasts boycott group's co-founder
Edited on Tue Aug-25-09 08:33 PM by steven johnson

When is this clown going back to the Big Top where he belongs?

Fox News host Glenn Beck used his popular show Monday to attack the background of Van Jones, a White House environmental advisor and co-founder of an African American political advocacy group that organized an advertising boycott of his program.

Beck did not address the boycott spearheaded by Color of Change to protest the talk show host's remark last month that he believes President Obama is "a racist."

Instead, he spent a large share of his program suggesting that Jones, who co-founded Color of Change in 2005, is a radical. Jones now serves as a special advisor for green jobs at the White House Council on Environmental Quality.

Beck said Jones was twice arrested for political protests and has described himself as a "rowdy black nationalist." The talk show host cast the piece as part of a weeklong examination of Obama's "czars," special advisors to the president who "don't answer to anybody."

1. Those arrests were illegal. An out of control LAPD harrassing police observers during the riots
The arrests were throw out.

Beck wouldn't know the truth if it bit off his dessicated nuts.

But what else would we expect from a mentally unstable, dry drunken racist asshole with delusions of grandeur?

2. Really?
So let me get this straight. The guy's advertisers flee from his show for calling the president a racist who has a deep seated hatred of white people so he goes after one of those he offended by referring to him as a rowdy black nationalist? That should go over well.

OK, who's starting a new petition? I'm ready to sign.

Hmmmm, nationalist. Is this an effort to paint Dem's and Obama supporters with a term they can equate with Hitler?

3. If the boycott were having no effect at all, Beck wouldn't even give it air time
As it is, he's even got Richard Viguerie crowing that it's driven up his viewer numbers (in which
case, what's the big deal, Richard?).

Maybe it has driven up his viewer numbers, but as Beck's viewers must be the least bright stars in
our constellation, they probably aren't the top wage earners, and don't have a lot of spare cash to
spend on whatever it is that Beck's advertisers are selling, especially if any of them ever need to
see a doctor.......

4. Maybe other liberal groups should join in and really make it a
bigger boycott...
