Help please. Small mystery surrounding a company caring for a close relative

This company came highly referred by both the relative's insurance company and Ramsey County Human Services for in home nursing and homemaking care.

The first year was great but then the staff changed and it was hard to find anyone who knew anything or could authorize anything. That came to a head recently when we tried to get a nurse out for wound care. We also learned that the company had some problem with an State Audit done this summer.

Can anyone help me figure out who owns the company and what information might be found on this company?

and they will get you to the contract person or social worker who manages accounts with TLC. If there are existing problems with them the worker will want to hear what you have to say and if there aren't, they should be concerned and will take a report. You may not see immediate action but an investigation should be opened. Documentation of the poor care, times, dates, etc, will be most effective in helping them investigate.

There should be some agency that needs to accredit and license them; DOH can probably give you some direction.

the case manager at the relatives clinic picked up the ball and got a nurse out quickly through another agency after the initial delay but another intake fee was paid. I have a name that one of the TLC aids says is a good trouble shooter when things are snagged up and I will follow up but I thought I would see if there were some way to find out information on a business like this.

If one were going to run a sham business revolving door clients and getting the high intake fees would be a way to do it.

If they don't want our business (for whatever reason)I guess we will just have to find another agency.

either a lot of the "staff" is part-time or very low-paid, or the company's not making any money, or they're hiding money. or it's a tax dodge or front.

Maybe you should contact the mother ship.

Although I couldn't find a link to the corporate headquarters....Maybe look through "Home Health Care, Inc."
