It's funny, too that the ultra conservative prohibitionists gave the family the money to sustain the dynasty & propel them into public service..

Had there been no prohibition, would Joe have become wealthy?

No Kennedy wealth, and who knows what would have become of them. They might have just been another large Irish Family in Massachusetts
