Now cracks a noble heart
We are bereft and inconsolable. Our now immortal senator, Edward M. Kennedy, has died.

He would want us to fight and we will. He would want us to see that his last wishes are carried out, so that we will be represented at the most important legislative vote of our lives. He fought for this moment for his entire career and fighting to have a new senator appointed is one way in which we can honor this great man.

Rest in Peace Ted. The dream shall never die.

"Now cracks a noble heart. Good-night, sweet prince;
And flights of angels sing thee to thy rest.

Hamlet, Act V, Scene ii

I'm grateful to the DU community as a place I can come and be among others who feel as I do, and who express it better than I could. Thank you. :cry:

5. thanks lib_wit_it
Ted Kennedy was all about single payer healthcare. We need to battle on for him now, whether it's single payer or the public option. We need to get the best that we can for Ted and for ourselves.

We need real reform and Massachusetts must have it's second senator's vote for this vote of a lifetime that's coming up.
