WE must honor Sen. Kennedy by naming Health Care Bill (with public option) after him
and the president should use this as a way for senators to honor their collegue by voting for a strong health care bill. Obama should use the passing of Sen. Kennedy the way LBJ used JFK's passing to pass The Civil Rights Act of 1964--a rallying cry to honor his committment.

1. Damned right, and thanks.
We have been on the defense for too long. Time to fight back, by any means necessary.

3. And we...WE must honor him by fighting for this legislation
Time to take this back from the dunces at the town halls. Teddy fought all his life for us, we need to get this done for his memory and for our future. Call, write, email, go to meetings, do whatever it is we do. It is up to us now, our champion has gone home to rest.

4. Agreed
It would be the greatest honor to a good man to pass a Health Care reform act.

His life was dedicated to that cause.

Rest in Peace, Senator Kennedy

5. great idea, this. And we need to move now on passage. But. . .
I recall hearing McCain, Grassley and a few other assholes from the GOP working hard to attack Kennedy over the past week. I wonder what we will hear from them now. An Apology? I doubt it. they have not the capacity for apologies.

7. I agree with you wholeheartedly but MSNBC's Barancle, Matthews
and Scarborough group appear to be laying the groundwork for
passing anything because Kennedy did not believe in making the
perfect the enemy of the good". "Kennedy would cut a deal."

It will be interesting to see if this becomes the narrative
for other MSM.

But, the bill has to BE GOOD ENOUGH to carry his name. I suggest that opening Medicare to all, as he himself suggested) would be perfectly named "TeddyCare"

10. Not only name it after him....
....put in the provisions that would do him honor. It's FOR THE PEOPLE HEALTH CARE!

Gawd, I live on the Left Coast. It is not even 6:00 AM here. I woke up early and MSNBC was on my bedroom TV...and there I see the news that Sen. Kennedy is gone. From all places I learn this: Joey Scab's show.

RIP, Sen. Kennedy...you are missed already.

13. I agree it must be done. But it will seem hypocritical to some
since the dems passed this law only a few years ago to bar Romney from appointing a replacement.
