An era ends when the last of the first Kennedys dies

I am so incredibly sad that we've lost Teddy - the youngest who wore the patriarch mantle with true greatness.

The Kennedy's continue, generations of them. In service and in public service.

But the three brothers. Greatness, Promise, and Realization.

A human passing made so much more sad by who it is.

Teddy, you touched me for decades, but more directly just this past year. I supported the young man you endorsed to walk in the shoes of your big brother, Jack, simply on the strength of your endorsement. I will trust your vision and follow him to my dream to honor you with The Edward M. Kennedy Health Care For America Act of 2009.

Don't forget Joe Kennedy Jr., killed in WWII in an insane mission. But a hero nonetheless.

Thank God for the Kennedys, with all their flaws. They have enriched this nation and the world immeasurably.

4. Yeah, that WAS a pretty messed up thing to volunteer for...

Riding in a bomber laden with explosives up nearly until the point of impact (parachuting out over the sea). Took some serious guts...:wow:

But the three survivors knew him.

There's that story of a Kennedy event at which toasts were made. Your Teddy lifted his toast to Joe. It stopped everyone in their tracks.
