3. MSNBC's Morning Joe was one long tribute to Kennedy
Pat Buchanan was especially gracious in what he said specifically in how Kennedy worked the social aspects of getting legislation passed.

9. true, but even then, there were the constant references to...
drinking, womanizing, Chappaquiddick -- when was the last time a Republican icon died, and there was anything EVER mentioned about this sort of thing?

Does anyone here believe they would talk about rumors of Bush's coke-snorting if he had died?

In the corporate media, it works like this -

Republicans = instant saints

Democrats = flawed individuals

14. You must have been watching after 7:30 becuase in the 2.5 hours I watched Joe
I heard one 30 second (if that) reference to Chappaquiddick and that was in the context of some meeting between Nixon and Ted.

As far as anything else in the negative, again in the time I watched those references were minimal and seemed to be referenced in connection with a bad period in Kennedy's life.

I knew they would spare no expense when he died.

6. If they went through half of the tragedies that man went through they would not
have been able to handle it. Teddy was able to overcome his troubles and fight for others.

7. Excellent point.
He was imperfect. Aren't we all? But the good work he did far outweighs his imperfections.

I weep today for yet another Kennedy.

8. Of course they are.
All the more reason to let his record speak for itself.

And, gee, isn't it a "Christian" principle that "he who is without sin cast the first stone"?

We have to rise above.

11. Ted was what a Catholic should be.
He talked the talk AND walked the walk.

The man lived Catholic social justice and teaching.

12. Fuck them.
Consider it a tribute to Senator Kennedy that the idiocracy class hates him. It shows he was doing all the right things.

Really, their heroes are Rush and Hannity and Sarah Palin. What more proof do you need? The fact they hate him says much more in his favor as far as I'm concerned.

Fuck them.
