Went to Health Care Town Hall Forum
last night. I didn't write this last night because I wasblown away by the coverage of Ted Kennedy's death after I got home yesterday evening...but I was in Lakewood, Washington last night for about 3 hours at a town hall on health care with US Congressman Adam Smith. It struck me as to how ignorant and rude the opposing side was. Those who wish not to enact reform were down right rude, obnoxious and inconsiderate. They didn't follow the rules of the format and were as uncivil as possible to those they disagreed with. Also it struck me as to how shallow the staements or questions were coming from the other side and well thought out and intellegent the questions and responses were coming from the side of those who advocate reform.

1. i was at one last night too
and I seriously think that a room full of unsupervised preschoolers would be better behaved than the teabaggers at last night's rally.

2. I'm with you
my wife is a third grade teacher and made a comment to that effect...she would never let her third graders get away with the rudeness on display last night and I gotta say it was about 80% the tea baggers doing it. BTW: Good for your cat..I had a wiener dog that once lived to be 19 years old and right now I have a great cat who is about 5

4. I was going to go to another tonight (different district)
but my blood pressure cannot take another night with a bunch of teabaggers. And I am uninsured.

3. There is no sense in trying to have a logical debate with these
people, since they are acting on tribal instincts and not logic. A lot of them are just hysterical because a black man is president. The important thing is to get the information out there. I watched Moran's meeting last night on c-span. He did a great job of debunking the myths.
