My Dad, now deceased, got it.
My Dad, the child of Italian immigrants used to hold court after holiday dinners when the topics would turn to politics and world events. I have four brothers, two of whom are business owners and tend to lean right.

One Thanksgiving, one of my brothers made a disparaging comment about Teddy and was met with a fist pounding the table, with which my Dad said, "Don't you EVER talk like that about the Kennedy family. No family has given more to this country than the Kennedy Family...especially when they didn't need to. And don't you EVER forget that."

The look on my brother's speechless face was priceless.

4. The Kennedys sacrificed...
...so much, including too many sons.

Simple-minded, vicious people don't see this--because they differ ideologically
than the Kennedys.

They simply can't see how they lived their lives to serve our country and chose to
mock and belittle.

That says so much about how small minded people can be.

It's very sad.

5. what is really sad, when you think about it, Ted Kennedy
was the only one of 4 sons to live to old age.

Rose Kennedy was an amazingly strong woman.

6. My family felt very much the same way about the Kennedys.
We have always held them in high regard. We are total supporters because they have done so much for this country.
