Help, please. Where in HR 3200 can I find a section on reimbursement of

providers of service (doctors) for end of life counselling? Deathers where I live say it isn't in the section on Advance Care Planning Consultation. I suspect it is somewhere else in HR 3200, since they are obviously covered services, then the Advance Care Planning Consultation is a covered service.

4. I'm thinking maybe the bill ISN"T SUPPOSED to directly claim

that "This is a service to be reimbursable to the doctor." I think that once a service listed in a bill is approved, then it obviously is reimbursable. Then it has to be added to whatever database of codes for reimbursement, like for Medicare and Medicaid.

3. Secton 1233. Advanced Care Planning Consultation.

They just don't have a clue how to read a bill.

The second line of that section says it is amending another bill (Medicare) in a certain way. The section of the Medicare bill being amended is a list of reimbursed services. Advanced Planning Consultation is being added to the pre-existing list of Medicare reimbursed services.

Tell them that when you amend an existing law, you actually need to go and find the current law and read it in order to make sense of the amendment.

They neglected to put the very beginning and the very end of the section in their post of disinformation.

If they say it's elsewhere in the bill, make them show it to you. They can't.

The provision is actually an amendment to Medicare coverage - it orders Medicare to pay for the consultations. IF they patient wants to have the consultation, Medicare will reimburse. Every five years.
