I remember when ole King David died
All the fundies were talking about how he essentially had a man sent to die so that he could have sex with the man's wife, in fact they still tell us what a bad evil man he was in church...

Oh wait, I think they tend to see him for what he did beyond all that.

Some folks on facebook were whining about a friend's post about Sen. Kennedy, my reply:

"I hope we are all not judged when we die by only the few negative things we might have done in life. As Jesus once said - How you judge others is how you shall be judged. I wonder why people should try to do good in their life if they have done something bad because that is all some want to remember. Kind of like how Satan keeps wanting to accuse ... Read Moreus before God for our past sins while ignoring the positive things we have done......And there was the sinner on the Cross with Jesus, good thing Jesus did not act like some here have or that poor guy would not have made it to paradise."

We can choose to celebrate the positive things someone did in their life for them or others, or we can attack them when they are unable to defend.

I didn't like the dancing on the grave of Steve Irwin, though there was no shortage of people trying to make him out to be a bad person, same with MJ, etc and so on. Why must folks on either side go out of their way to point out (things which already probably know anyway) the negative to try and show why they are 'happy' (or, simply not sad) that someone has died?

1. Just because you can't celebrate someone's life...
...Doesn't mean you have to celebrate their death.

There's a middle ground to be found in merely thinking of their loved ones and the grief they must be feeling.
