We pay for Iraq's health care

An oil rich nation yet we have idiots in this country screeching against covering our own citizens.

A Nation gone mad.

1. Maybe.
It could be zero sum if you consider long term oil contracts that mitigate any expenses.

2. Let's see...

Health care in Iraq is paid via our tax dollars and the oil profits benefit whom exactly?

3. It benefits America's elite

Any expense is justified by how much profit/loss it brings, in some desired span, to America's elite. This particular expense may quell even more violence, bred from depravity, that may conflict with the portfolio's of the power brokers.

*Someone* is NOT losing money from Iraq. It may not be you or me, but there exists someone who is profiting vastly. Otherwise, we would not be in that war.

6. I see it as not so much as not wanting to cover our own citizens
as wanting to protect corporate profits. They believe the line has to be drawn somewhere lest they ultimately will loose most of their golden eggs. The congresscritters are simply protecting the goose here.
