why is it that everytime (it seems)
that every time Jon Stewart takes a break from TDS, something very critical happens, and we don't have the JS insight on the event?

I'll tell ya, when you see a late Thursday TDS with Jon shouting to the audience "see you in two weeks!" you need to get out of town, and hunker down in your air raid shelter with as many supplies you need for a good month or more.

4. Well, yeah you did miss something
This was meant to be a small counterpoint to all the deaths and their effect on all of us. It was meant to convey the fact that we are not all completely formed by tragedy, but that regardless of that, we are meant to have some form of levity in order to heal from those tragedies.

So the old meme of the late 50s was to be prepared for a nuclear attack, and own your own shelter. I guess you are too young to understand that.

We have to counter any and all forms of drinking of despair as we move forward. So anything that lifts us is a boon.

3. Thanks for the heads up
I don't have HBO, but I will look for it to be up on the Web or elsewhere to watch.
