Video Captures Teacher Beating Student with Autism
I'd punch her teeth out if that was my kid.

1. Completely indefensible, but it was a single slap, not a "beating".
...and I'd punch her, too.

3. The teacher's assistant had her phone ready to record this
because it's happened before.

5. That may well be, but it's still not a "beating".
...and I'd probably punch the TA too for not reporting this earlier.

I know how frustrating it can be - but ya gotta check yourself!
One time a five year old spit in my face. I put my hands under the child's armpits and raised him up then = stopped and thought "oh yeah I can't shake him - - I have - to - put - the - child - down."
I took a loooong deeep breath and walked him ever so carefully to the principal. Later he was diagnosed with a whole bucket of "disorders". Some of it due to having lived nearly a year with his mom - in a car.

But even though we feel like other folks teachers have to be able to think before reacting.

Then again earlier this week we heard of 3 teachers who reacted quickly and tackled a student who was about to commit mayhem.

edited 4 spelling - twice

4. I know how you feel or felt, but you did exactly the right thing.
Good for you.
