4. The Germans are a great bunch. Love them.


Spent 3+ years there. Beautiful country. Bike trails, trains, castles, forests... No limit Autobahn if you must...

5. I was there for 3+ years as well.
I loved it. Very peaceful. I lived on the country the side.

7. Most of them knew at least broken english...


And they did not hold it against me that I never learned German very well.

I lived in Hanau ... an hour west of Frankfurt.


I miss it.

10. My sister-in-law took three years of German in high school.
She couldn't wait to go to Weiss baden to "speak the native tongue". Her pronunciation was soooooo bad her host, who spoke very broken English, begged her to just speak English so he could understand at least a few words she was saying.
