Oh, Danny boy.... TS Danny forecast to rain on Kennedy's burial

The Boston Globe is reporting that Tropical Storm Danny is likely to dump several inches of rain on the Boston area on Saturday, conincident with Senator Kennedy's funeral ceremonies.

Danny Boy is just now starting to sprinkle here in the DC area. If the storm stays on the predicted course, that means all of Senator Kennedy's cortege, from Boston to DC, on Saturday will be rained on - by Danny Boy. But it should clear up by the time they're scheduled to reach Arlington for the burial - at 5:30 pm.

The sky is crying ...............................

I think you're right. Not when he was buried. While we were processing it. Friday, killed. Weekend wet and dreary like the mood of the nation. And then time gets all confused. I'm Jewish so I think in terms of immediate burial, but he wasn't. I remember the matching sky. And the fear. Because we didn't know what was next.

A couple of days ago, the forecast had it strengthening into a hurricane by the time it passed D.C.

I thought it was just a TS and they were watching it.

We're getting drizzles now, here in the DC environs (fifteen minutes from the White House and Capitol), and it's cooler.

Supposed to be rainy tomorrow, windy. We have flood watches up all over the place, from the rain last night. The Potomac is roiling................................
