Bawling time now -To Dream the Impossible Dream
Edited on Fri Aug-28-09 08:02 PM by malaise
Brian Stokes Mitchell - How appropriate

Lyrics
To dream the impossible dream
To fight the unbeatable foe
To bear with unbearable sorrow
To run where the brave dare not go

To right the unrightable wrong
To love pure and chaste from afar
To try when your arms are too weary
To reach the unreachable star

This is my quest
To follow that star
No matter how hopeless
No matter how far

To fight for the right
Without question or pause
To be willing to march into Hell
For a heavenly cause

And I know if I'll only be true
To this glorious quest
That my heart will lie peaceful and calm
When I'm laid to my rest

And the world will be better for this
That one man, scorned and covered with scars
Still strove with his last ounce of courage
To reach the unreachable star

6. It's very popular at funerals here
Lovely rendition.

Sinatra's 'My Way' is another popular song at memorials here

9. TV drama/comedy before success on Broadway. Man of La Mancha and other shows.

11. Ragtime (broadway musical) -
he played opposite Audra McDonald. Both were nominated for a Tony. I didn't see the play but I remember the Tony Awards - they were both amazing.

12. Brian Stokes Mitchell

I absolutely adore him. Most TV viewers might remember him as the recurring character Cam Winston on 'Frasier'... you know, Frasier's nemesis that lives upstairs, they are constantly trying to one-up each other. However, most of Brian Stokes Mitchell's work is on the stage. He has starred in 'Kiss Me Kate', 'Ragtime' and 'Man of La Mancha'... just to name a few. He is a huge talent, and if you ever have the chance to see him live... I highly recommend seizing that opportunity.
