I want a memorial like this. I think I have a lot to do yet to earn it, though.

24. I think everyone has a right to be remembered in a good way.
If we were better people, we would be better at remembrances.

six hours after the fact. Late getting to the game as one OP declared.) These singers just kept getting better and better, I didn't want them to end.

God, this is killing me.

it is a long story, but yes, he helped me at a time in my life that I found myself utterly hopeless.

I am very sad that he has passed.

He was a great human being! He will go down in history as being the greatest Senator ever known to America. He was a great American. :patriot:

We have always done that with our kids.

We may be going to Disney World but on the way we will stop and many a historical spot.

We always stop and Presidential locations, We call it our Dead Presidents tour. The kids used to groan, but I think they learned more there then in the history classes in school.

113. We have taken out kids on tours of the monuments after dark
Not only do your kids learn a lot but sometimes you learn a little about them as well.

Our youngest developed a love of photography at the Vietnam Memorial late one 4th of July. She took a fantastic picture with the Washington Memorial in the back ground and then we were off to see what pictures she would take. We just followed her.

We got back to the hotel at 4 AM. Memories. I imagine you are right, the bu$hs never enjoyed the city they lived.

75. Lyrics
There's a tear in your eye,
And I'm wondering why,
For it never should be there at all.
With such pow'r in your smile,
Sure a stone you'd beguile,
So there's never a teardrop should fall.
When your sweet lilting laughter's
Like some fairy song,
And your eyes twinkle bright as can be;
You should laugh all the while
And all other times smile,
And now, smile a smile for me.

When Irish eyes are smiling,
Sure, 'tis like the morn in Spring.
In the lilt of Irish laughter
You can hear the angels sing.
When Irish hearts are happy,
All the world seems bright and gay.
And when Irish eyes are smiling,
Sure, they steal your heart away.

For your smile is a part
Of the love in your heart,
And it makes even sunshine more bright.
Like the linnet's sweet song,
Crooning all the day long,
Comes your laughter and light.
For the springtime of life
Is the sweetest of all
There is ne'er a real care or regret;
And while springtime is ours
Throughout all of youth's hours,
Let us smile each chance we get.

When Irish eyes are smiling,
Sure, 'tis like the morn in Spring.
In the lilt of Irish laughter
You can hear the angels sing.
When Irish hearts are happy,
All the world seems bright and gay.
And when Irish eyes are smiling,
Sure, they steal your heart away.

Most of all, thank you Uncle Teddy. :loveya:
