Today, my pride of being an American - and a Democrat in America - is renewed.

The Kennedy funeral, through the many eloquent readings and speeches, renewed my hope. And just reinforced our good fortune of having President Obama to help lead us out of the darkness of the past 8 years.

I have hope that this will embolden us to do better. What a great man.

I hope we all are emboldened and our hearts are set on fire by the life of this incredible man.

I am so proud of Ted Kennedy and the Democratic Party.

I've had such a heavy heart these past few days, but I am so moved by the stories being told by those who knew, loved -- or just shared anecdotes about "Le Grand Fromage." Wow. To lead such a life! I am overwhelmed by how many lives he touched.

Their resolve, their public service work, the eloquence and the ability to speak to our hearts, makes them all charismatic figures.

MSM likes to call them the closest thing to American royalty, I think it's more than that. It's our inner selves wanting to be the best, and seeing that through them. I cannot think of any other family that compares, none. They have brought out the best, while they have worked tirelessly for all that is good. The Kennedy brothers are global iconic figures, we all remember where we were and what we were doing when we learned of their passing, we always will. Some are truly destined to be leaders. We were truly blessed.

Yeah, after 8 years of chaos and hell, we need that again.

I am at once overwhelmed by the emotion of the this day and inspired anew by these people who've made me feel like I'm a part of that great dream for a better world. Now to work!
