Who is the Lion now? Is there one?
Edited on Sun Aug-30-09 01:34 PM by Truth2Tell
Hmmmm?

Edit to elaborate: I know there are no direct heirs to Kennedy's legacy in the Senate. But where are the Liberal Leaders with gravitas, and heart, and passion, and integrity? Bueller?

9. I think "time" will show one. Teddy's nickname was a result of his life experience, approach and
age. Everyone seems to also forget that his ability to communicate with his "foes" also had to do with time, experience and his name. I do think there are some "cubs" in waiting though.

10. Franken said he'd carry on the fight for health care.
He's pretty green, Senate wise. But I think Al will do well.

11. We have no lions at present
but there are quite a few bobcats. If they unite, they can inflict some serious damage on fascism.

Not my Senator, but I send him a little
money from time to time, just to show I
care, because I really DO care that he
is a TIRELESS fighter for America.

27. Depends on priorities. Kennedy - THE guy on domestic issues. Kerry - THE guy uncovering government
corruption.

And they had to do it over these many years with many in their party working against them while siding with the secrecy and privilege of the powerful elite.

28. Ironically enough, we could have had a Lioness if a certain someone had stayed in the Senate.

At least that seems to be the opinion of several people on the MSM.

:-)
