4. We're spending too much money and manpower in Afghan......
and in Iraq. What we really need to do is have a Marshall Plan in New Orleans and the rest of the Gulf Region.

5. Because we have the strongest military in the world,
and the Generals need to test it out and find out if the weapons work in real life situations!

11. Because admitting to a lost war (again) is politically embarassing.
So, the politicians and generals will prolong it until the inevitable occurs and we are (again) forced out. Then they'll build a nice monument to the cannon-fodder so the politicians can shed crocodile tears and prepare for their next venture.

13. Yup
Just look at what happened to the Soviets. The same army that routed the NAZIS couldn't beat a little ragtag insurgency? What a disgrace.

14. The number one user of refined petroleum products on this planet
is the United States military.

They have a vested interest in keeping their supply lines to crude oil open at all costs. Without it, they cannot do what they need to do; that is, secure more access to crude oil supply lines.

If anyone in this country thinks for one minute that any military intervention this country is currently involved in has anything to do with 'terrorism' or 'defending the country' they are completely ignorant of reality.

It is now, and has been for the last thirty years or so, all about control of the flow of oil, and eliminating those that would thwart the MIC access to it.

Religion is used by both sides to drum up support from the weak-minded in order to control vast amounts of potential wealth that oil represents; either in denying it, or acquiring it.
