John Voight is quite the nutter, isn't he?
He's on Gov. Huckleberry's Fox show and just said "Obama is causing civil unrest in this country."

34. And he was lousy in "An American Carol"...
...not that anyone could have salvaged that.

But a bit of irony there, in that Voight's role in that movie (as the ghost of George Washington) was to chide the Michael Moore caricature for "abusing" free speech.

He and the rest of faux need zero ratings. And another question, where is Costanza to ask Voight if that was really his car?

Angelina Jolie and saying how nice it was to look at her and he could understand why men fantasized about her.

It made our skin crawl.

9. He sure went bonkers when his acting career dried up
although I wonder if part of what dried it up was the fact that he's always been a little bonkers.

It's pretty sad to watch. I wish he'd get some help.

Still in Iraq
Still in Afghanistan
Still no single payer
Still no taxes on the rich
Still no new bailout

All that has happened is cash for clunkers.

21. Enough for some
I think it has more to do with the right wing lie machine. They have Glen Beck crying on TV, repeating obvious lies. They have nutters protesting repeating obvious lies. Teabaggers, birthers, and town hallers, all screaming the same obvious lies.

They want you to think it is just because he is black, so we don't fight their efforts. When it is really because of a bunch of other things, in addition to him being black.

Maybe Huckabee could come along and the three of you could trash Obama for hours on end.

Those are all things I want him to do. Things he should be doing. Things he has said he would do.

How is he causing unrest when he hasn't done any of them yet?

When did Obama promise to push for single payer?

When did Obama promise to do anything other than INCREASE the number of troops in Afghanistan?

23. Expecting Obama to live up to progressive ideals is not "trashing" Obama
Even if he hasn't specifically said that, it has been implied.

He still hasn't done anything. Much less anything for them to be pissed about.

Edited on Sun Aug-30-09 09:24 PM by subcomhd
You are accusing Obama of not fulfilling promises that he not only never made, he never implied. He specifically said he was for increasing the troop levels in Afghanistan. He specifically said he would NOT push for single payer.

So nope, not even implied.

I'm not getting into a pissing match with you about it.

Still, he has done nothing that they could complain about.

In the 70's he was an amazing, gifted actors, playing complex characters in socially relevent films like Coming Home. It makes me sad to see what's become of him.

I can't think of his name, but a few years ago Malkovich threatened or expressed a desire to kill him.

Gary Oldman is on the dark side too.
