Review-Journal publisher blasts Reid for 'ugly, boorish' remark
Edited on Mon Aug-31-09 11:10 AM by BurtWorm
If I were the Senate Dems, I'd nudge Harry out and get a more solid replacement. Nothing in particular against Harry, except that he seems especially vulnerable next year. Not a good spot for a leader to be in.

At a Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce luncheon last week, Sen. Harry Reid told the Review-Journal's advertising director that "I hope you go out of business." R-J publisher Sherman Frederick calls the remark "a full-on threat perpetrated by a bully who has forgotten that he was elected to office to protect Nevadans, not sound like he's shaking them down."

5. The "no lobbyist" rule notwithstanding, Daschle is more powerful as whisper in Obama's ear
then he ever was as a Senator. A great deal richer too, I'd wager.

9. "freight train to socialism"
god, the conservatives are such cry babies.

NewsMax, Free Republic, Fox Nation, are all whining about how Harry Reid is "bullying" the poor newspaper, who is speaking truth to power about Harry Reid enabling Obama's "freight train to socialism"

http://www.lvrj.com/opinion/48721992.html

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is portrayed as grown too big to fail, and he's convinced everyone who's anyone in my home city of Las Vegas to join him on the Obama freight train to socialism. Next stop: Rationed health care, union card check and $10-a-gallon gasoline. All aboard!
