Stop showing her pic, stop saying her name, she is A VICTIM of a sexual crime and predator. . .

. . .I hope she her current privacy is kept. I'm curious to know more about her, her kids, know what the look like, know what they have been through, but my curiosity does not trump my concern that she needs to deal with this in private at her own pace.

This story is sensational in that she has been found after 18 years but she needs the media to stop talking about her immediately.

I mean, how fucking exploitative can you get? They can't show pictures of her children, products of rape that they are, yet they'll show pixellated images. Yeah, we're pretty sure they exist, so the only reason for running these photos is pure greed.

embracing that fact and maybe making some choices about whether to retain that name.

I am encouraged that so far we haven't seen pictures of the adult Dugard nor her two daughters. I hope it stays that way.

I live in the local area and the media coverage on this story is constant and from every possible angle. While the story is fascinating it's really none of my business at this point. After the courts deal with the Garridos I can buy the pulp true story edition if I care to be that nosy.
