Where's Sarah Palin(not in Alaska)? She's busy writing memoir, her father says
CALDWELL, Idaho -- The father of former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin says his daughter has been steering clear of the media spotlight in recent weeks to focus on writing her memoirs.

Chuck Heath, in Idaho campaigning for a Republican congressional candidate last week, says Palin has been away from her Alaska home for more than a month but is in touch frequently with him.

Heath said he gets e-mails from his daughter when she's looking for trivial details of her past, things like how many points she scored in a high school basketball game or the year the family attended the Boston Marathon.

"Sarah's been out of town for almost a month now," Heath told the Spokane (Wash.) Spokesman-Review. "I don't know exactly where she is, but she's writing her book. She e-mails me quite frequently. She asks, 'Oh, what happened on June 13, 1978?' This is material for her book."

42. Strike while the iron's hot.
It's not like anyone will care in ten years. Those memoirs are depreciating as we speak, since she is doing dick to try to make some symposiums and cement the 'Palin Doctrine'

Such a flash in the pan.

Yes, it's narcisisstic.

... off topic but, I've heard you guys are doing a bit better! :hi: Good luck with everything!

I visited a friend in a hotel room off and on for a few days. I got to see far more of me in the bathroom mirror than I ever wished to see. My own is neither as big or as well-lit. Oh well.. It's all a matter of perspective, on many levels. :D

Edited on Mon Aug-31-09 05:39 PM by TlalocW
I recall that W, Obama, and McCain all wrote ("wrote" in the case of W) books heading into presidential campaigns. I'm sure both Clintons did as well - I just can't remember them. Dole probably did for the 96 election. Did Kerry, Mitt, and Keyes in 04, 08, and the last time Keyes was somewhat relevant? Probably.

She's running.

And it's going to be a best seller - the kind that used to have an asterisk by it that indicated bulk sales to conservative outfits who buy books by conservative authors to hand out as gifts (and inflate the authors' numbers of course).

Edited on Mon Aug-31-09 07:24 PM by RamboLiberal
Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin this week will begin accepting and rejecting the more than 1,070 invitations she has received for paid speeches and political appearances since she resigned from office, aides said.

Twenty speakers’ bureaus made offers to represent her. She has signed with Washington Speakers Bureau, which represents everyone from George and Laura Bush to Bob Woodward and Katie Couric to Alan Greenspan, Colin Powell and Rudy Giuliani.

More than 950 requests for speeches have poured in for Palin, and over 120 candidates for office have asked her to appear, including folks running for Senate, House and state Legislature, aides said.

Palin will be doing both paid speeches, which are expected to go for six figures apiece, and unpaid speeches for political and charitable causes, including Christian organizations, groups that support families with special-needs children and military families.

-----

She’s about 85 percent finished with her book, due out this spring from HarperCollins. Then she’ll begin looking through the inch-and-a-half thick file her lawyer, Robert Barnett, has built of offers for network and cable pundit gigs, documentaries and business opportunities.
