THIS Should Be The Very Next Resolution Considered By Congress after Health Care Reform
Edited on Mon Aug-31-09 07:04 PM by berni_mccoy
Reid should put something like this on the Agenda and put the fear of losing their health care coverage into the Repukes. 45 million Americans currently go without while these bastards vote against bringing them relief.

The Health Care Costs Reduction Act

Resolution

Whereas members of Congress have voted against the Health Care Reform Legislation drafted by the House and the Senate which would bring a public option to more than 45 million uninsured Americans;

Whereas more than 18 thousand Americans are dying each year because they can not afford Health Care;

Whereas the members of Congress who have voted against the Health Care Reform Legislation or voted against Cloture on it have argued that Government Run Health Care is Un-American and not befitting a Democracy citing Death Panels, Rationing and Unbounded Costs as reasons for rejecting said Public Option and said legislation;

Whereas these members of Congress who have voted against the Health Care Reform Legislation or voted against Cloture on it have said Government Run Health Care as their current provider of coverage;

Whereas the above mentioned coverage of these members of Congress costs the American Tax Payer a significant portion of the budget; Now, therefore, be it

Resolved, That --

(1) Those members of Congress who have voted against the Health Care Reform Legislation or voted against Cloture on it

____(A) Have their current Government Run Health Care coverage immediately and irreversibly revoked.

____(B) May not ever be eligible for Medicare or Medicaid despite any eligibility they may normally have qualified for said Government Run Health Care programs

____(C) have any immediate family members who are covered by a Government Run Health Care program have their coverage immediately and irreversibly revoked.

(2) Those members of Congress who have their Government Run Health Care coverage revoked by this resolution may be exempted under the following circumstance

____(A) By voting for and passing Health Care Reform Legislation that includes a Public Option as they previously voted against.

3. Aside from being totally asinine,...
such a bill would probably be unconstitutional. Look up Bill of Attainder

6. No, not really. According to pukes, Health Care is a privilege.
Taking that away isn't a punishment. It's a manifestation of their beliefs.

I assume you were the asshat who unrec'd this.

7. I didn't unrec it before...
but I did now. Do you have any idea what a terrible precedent such a bill would set if it were passed? Did it occur to you that Senators might need to work together on other legislation after HCR? How would that work out with this bill? It's one thing to vent your frustrations, but what you are suggesting would destroy the Senate - that's brilliant.

BTW, did you look up bill of attainder?

8. G.F.Y.
Good. For. You. And you have any idea that the Republicans will NEVER work with the Democrats on any issue while Obama is President. They have unanimously voted no on every bill on the agenda so far. The time for bipartisanship is over.
