Color me clueless, but is she capable of being a radio jockey? I don't know anything about her other than Imus married her and Stern dissed her badly today.... Out of all the talent out there, why Deirdre? Thoughts?

3. She's a 30 something pretty blonde. We're supposed to feel sorry for her
because instead of being the wife of a multi-multi-millionaire, poor woman will only be a multi-millionaire's wife. Besides, her political persuasion is to the RIGHT. Imus has made numerous comments about how CONSERVATIVE she is.

Dumb Executives at CBS want to gin up support for this arrogant family because they do charity.

Many of us do charity, doesn't make Imus special because he's a multi-millionaire. :thumbsdown:

I have to question yours though, you don't appear to charitable to me.

Imus is not a racist and this hatred towords him over a very bad choice of words is just a real shame.
Seems like you have something personal against him. Did he call you a bad name?

11. Imus has spewed both sexist and racist remarks since the late 70s.
It's long past time we get him and his equally sexist and racist producer, Bernard, off of the Air Waves.

The Advertisers did this because PEOPLE contacted them. For once justice is served.

His pretty little 30 something wife can not atone for Imus's personal racism and sexism. Just because many politicians choose to only see "one side" of Imus, does not make him less of a sexist and a racist.

4. Well, this is a nice gesture. She is a good woman.
Why anyone would want to bash her is beyond me. She has been on the program a lot so she knows her way around.
It is probably for the fundraiser for the ranch for children with cancers and blood disorders. Why not give a listen and donate some money to a good cause.

9. I have pet projects I already donate to
Like Heifer, Children International and Kiva.org


No offense, but when I want to donate to cancer projects, I tend to do it through ACS (I trust ACS to know where it is best to apply the money I donate)


I am sure the Imus' do a fine job with their ranch - - and I read they raised over $700,000 today alone so KUDOS! - - but I prefer my donations to not get sent to a guy who uses "hos" to describe women of any nationality/race (and I don't buy rap records, either :))


I am a nearing 50 women's libber here.... Maybe next year I will get over what was said last week and donate to his cause then....

15. Oh stop, you know nothing about her other than her projects. We don't know who she is.
Just because of her wealth, doesn't make her volunteer work any better than us NON multi-millionaires.

Then, again, I do feel sorry for Charles McCord and I might watch tomorrow because I feel sorry for both of them.

I'm not surprised that Howard Stern dissed Deirdre Imus. She obviously has a brain in her head and a thriving business -- Stern doesn't like that AT ALL -- IMHO, he's the original bimbo man.

7. Imus is Imus, his wife understands that and love him despite his grumpiness.
Imus' personally is what attracted viewers. I bet you never really watched the program. Personally, I never found him disgusting just grumpy like my grandfather.

8. You lose. I did watch him, regularly, from 5 AM to 6 AM PT on Fridays.

so rude with his wife and his son was there..he screamed at her that she was a moron..she screamed back and called him a moron..all with their son on the set..i thought it was so abusive..and i thought it was disfunctional with their child there..thats why i wasn't watching wednesday because ..i made up my mind i was never watching that kind of abuse again..little did i know the abuse would next be on the wonderful girls of Rutgers..from my home state!

20. I read this morning that Diedre is only
doing it for the telethon....that the likely sucessor to that time slot will be Imus-regular, Francesa and his partner, who I think, are some kind of sports reporters....they will do a sports show. Whoopee.

Why (I have asked DU several times, but have only gotten 2 responses) don't we begin an email campaign to have a liberal news show put into that slot. It's obvious that KO is bringing in the ratings, so why not more liberal programming? The country is hungry for more liberal news shows, so why not give an hour of that time to a liberal?
