Heard that some who were for health care bill were banned as "protesters"
I have the word of a person who was there--she's the MoveOn coordinator (or whatever it is called) for health care activism around here. Anyway, got to talk with her today. She had been to the Health Forum in Harrison, AR, and had been allowed to put up a table. There were no incidents, and she and others there didn't shout or disrupt. Well, I come to find out that the next week, when a similar forum was held in Flippin, she was not allowed in because she was a "protester". She said anyone who said they were for the health care bill was called a "protester." According to my source, a few brave Dems simply kept quiet when they saw what was going on and went in--and the lies were thick and fast. This was reported to MoveOn. I was wondering if anyone else had experienced anything like this. BTW, my contact and the people denied admission were all local residents and constituents of our congressman, not outside "ringers".

2. John Boozman
is our Congressman and is hosting a series of these. He has a panel and takes questions from the audience. The one in Harrison was polite and respectful, even though the panel was stacked against health care reform and spouted out lies, some of which were quite outlandish (like Canada only has 4 MRI scanners in the whole country).

3. Would he be interested to know the audience is stacked?

4. No
He's as far right as you can get. He's made, to be generous, some misstatements about the bill. He is dead set opposed to the bill, and wants to keep the status quo.
