A good neighbor, a cat lover, a nice guy - all the same person
One of my sister’s neighbors was riding by her house on his motorcycle today while I was mowing her yard. I know him from making several rides with him around the northern part of the state.

I stopped him and asked him if he knew anyone who might want a cat, as my sister had died Sunday and we needed to find a home for her three inside cats. I know that he likes cats.

He said his brother does animal rescue, so he would call him when he returned from the errand he was on.

When he came back, he was in his truck, had a pet carrier with him, and we captured two extremely scared cats - the other one is hiding in the house somewhere. I asked where he was taking them, and told me he was going to open the carriers (two) inside his house.

Miz O got there just as he was going into his house with one of the carriers, I pointed him out to her and told her the story and she started crying.

This is truly a nice guy.

4. I told him he moved up three positions on my hero list. He told me
the new cats would stay at his house until permanent homes could be found.

5. Bless his heart. I rescued 2 little kittens from a friend's garage
and one was very friendly and the other was extremely scared of me and everything else. After a week I managed to pick up the scared one and as I was holding him stroking his little head, I could see the light bulb over his head and I could almost hear him say "Oh, I get it. You want to love me" and he has been ever since the most loving, playful little kitty a person could ask for. I'm glad I got 2 becaue wherever one is, the other is very close. They give me great joy; they're my "bud cats".

6. When Dave brought back my carrier, he told me one of the cats
was sitting in the middle of the room looking around at the new surroundings, the other was hiding under a chair.

The hiding one my sister had gotten from my daughter when daughter moved in with her boyfriend, about a year ago.
