Army saves money by extending troops. Now they don't have to pay them...
the $1,000. stipend for being over there the extra months. Prior to this mandatory extension they had to pay this when their tour was extended. By making this mandatory they no longer have to pay it. My daughter and the wives of these deployed soldiers were told this at a meeting. My son-in-law is in Afghanistan.

3. See the post about stars and stripes....

I'll be showing it to my neighbors...their frg leader told them different but it appears that frg leader was wrong...your daughter got incorrect info as well it seems.

Here where I'm at the families can get dental work done on post for free...but today while getting my teeth cleaned, I was told I'd have to go off post from now on...no more family members as of now until whenever

I kept my dental insurance even after we went overseas - even after they told me I'd get free dental while living overseas....good thing I did. A lot of people didn't though....and now...an added expense for many who can't easily afford the yearly payments.

Now we have to pay with euros for the difference....and the exchange rate is very painful.

Just another way Bush Inc supports the troops and their families.

4. Yeah. It sucks.
They keep finding more and more ways to nitpick the military soldier in the wallet.

My nephew is in Iraq. Should have been home in June.

11. Welcome! Happens all the time...giving out incorrect info
We've been in almost 20 years and it's still frustrating how often bad information comes down the channel...from people whose job it is to know.

My neighbor on the first floor was raging mad yesterday after her family readiness group meeting...their leader...who is supposed to know these things, told them they wouldn't be getting it either.

15. How about dipping into that ridiculous Victory Party fund
$20 million just sitting there for a victory in a war where victory is unattainable...

Might as well use it for something good.
