All things are headed toward fruition
Just by the natural force and push and blossom of time. Independence, emancipation, sufferage, civil rights, and before long, health care, glbt rights and more issues will become accepted as part of how society works. It's the waiting that sucks!

1. The dark forces of fear are not much fun, either.

That's my man.

3. That's been really hard to see over the past 30 years
of class warfare against the many by the few.

I always hope he's right, though.

4. On all the social issues, the left has already won.
Not all of our social victories have been translated into law yet, but they will be.

But it's the economic issues that truly make us liberal, and on those we have suffered a string of defeats that have lasted nearly thirty years. On health care, union rights, and all the rich vs. poor issues, I do not share your optimism.

6. It might be called optimism
The economic issues will eventually right themselves too, if the world doesn't blow itself up or the sun burn out first.
