Rep. Hill's Townhall: Left me weary, drained and with shaking hands

I posted my story from my experience at Rep. Baron Hill's town hall last night. It was a bumpy ride from being surrounded at the beginning of the line by those righties against health care reform fearing this country's slide in to tyranny and trying to convince me we were becoming a fascist state. I debated with them for an hour and half before we got into the auditorium.

The bumps kept coming even up too when Rep. Hill selected me out of the audience to speak. I stood up and said, "I want to share a story" and got loudly and soundly booed. My story is a family shattered due to choices made because of catastrophic illness. Anyway...if you want to read about it its up at DKOS.

I used to live in Bloomington, so Hill used to be my congressman. Seeing him spend 10 minutes addressing the lies and myths about health reform in that speech was great.

Funny how they weren't afraid of a fascist state when Bush was claiming he had authority to detain people without trial and without access to a lawyer.
