And The Latest Stupid Move From The Stupid Party
Learning from past mistakes? Dems don't do that

A rational person would conclude, from the last month, that letting controversial legislation linger over a congressional break is probably not the best idea in the world. Right?

Well, the word from the immigration reform community is that they expect Democrats to introduce a comprehensive immigration reform bill in December, and debate it in January/February.

If you thought the teabaggers were bad, just wait until you see Minutemen invading Christmas-season townhalls across the country.

Learning from past mistakes? Dems don't do that

This is why the Evil party always wins, even when they're a pitiful minority.

1. Yes, give the GOPers weeks to shred it unopposed and unchecked
by the complicit media, turn everyone against it, even rational people, and watch it cruise to defeat. Brilliant.

3. maybe they want to do it well before the 2010 election
so it doesn't risk them too many seats.

4. Where are the Adults?????
Democrats, you are supposed to be governing that means leading.

You calmly reflect on your responsibilty to the country. What is
best for the Party overall and what is best for the country.

This does not mean you have to ignore various groups. It
means you do research, get the mood of the country on each
issue and plan. TIMING is everything in Politics. Appearing
you have the reins and are in charge is also important.

5. I have this hope
that all the illogical and unfounded fears have percolated to the top during this break. Obama can go a long way to squelching those untruths on the 9th and the re-information phase of health care can begin to combat the disinformation campaign.

I've learned to not count Obama out.

6. I share that hope.
The opposition to healthcare reform has shown itself to be uninformed and largely irrational. This may have been a reasonable strategy in the long run, despite the way things look right now.
