Republicans Prove How Hopelessly Stupid They Are By Boycotting The President's Educational Address

What do Republicans do when they don't like the President or what he has to say to their children? They cover their children's ears by keeping them out of school. Participation in this boycott is truly the height of someone exposing their own stupidity. The President seeks to address the schools of the Nation next week reminding children of the importance of education and responsibility they have to do well in school. But because Republicans don't like the President, they plan on having their children remain home. This is not something you do when you disagree with the policies of a President. This is something you do when you fear the truth. It is akin to book-burning. Republican parents fear the truth of what the President is saying and they fear for their children hearing it. And because they can not find an intellectual way to refute anything the President might say to their children, they must dumb their children down by limiting their exposure to education.

These parents know that if their children hear the words from the President and come home to ask questions that they will be too stupid to give meaningful answers. These parents are so mentally dim that they don't realize they are passing up an opportunity to share their own viewpoint and perspective with their children and why it might be different from the President's. And that would be assuming the President was going to make this a political talk, which he isn't. It's a motivational talk given as a service to the children of this Nation to help inspire them to be all that they can be intellectually.

It's sad, really, that these people are so lacking in any sort of common sense because they live in fear of the truth. What's even sadder is that they are infecting their children with their own irrational fear and stupidity. In the long run, many of these children will rebel against the fear and stupidity of their parents and will wonder who their parents really are.

Pure and simple. My family despised Reagan. Yet it was a good lesson in civics to hear the addresses That scumbag made. These folks are so hate-filled that they condemn their own children to ignorance. Kids get roughly 180 days in school to learn. Now lil repub kids will have only 179.

Tell em that the Dem kids will have a +.5% greater chance at success, and +.5% greater likelyhood to control things and they will be sending the kids by the thousands. It is unfortunate that they would even exploit their own children to drive their point home.

I could understand it if the president was going to make a speech about sex ed.

I recall Obama not wanting his daughters brought into the frey. Do they seriously believe that he would not follow the same principle when it concerns others children as well?

That is why this is another contrived outrage on their parts.

One day perhaps they will embrace America. One day they will accept divergent viewpoints. One day they may even realize freedom of speech is not a right that only they were given.

My kids listened to bush, and saw him for what he was- an arrogant, chest beating bully. My youngest son shook Pres. Obama's hand in Oct. of 2007 and came home from school (they took a field trip to the Capitol to meet a presidential primary candidate) saying, I met the new president today.-

If Dem kids get motivated to do well and GOP kids don't, that's just how it goes.

They will see a non-partisan and well reasoned presentation and will wonder what the children who did not show up were afraid of. That will cause them to view them as being ridiculous and they will be prepared to understand these people for what they are. Silly creatures with over-active imaginations.

and attentive children. There's going to be a lot of learning going on that day and here's hoping they take full advantage of the opportunity.

Sure, not all the "bad" kids belong to willfully ignorant Republics, but I'll bet the majority do.
