5. So unhappy they'll probably just ignore it.
They only report on polls when he goes down a few points.

8. Oh, not necessarily -- they may find a way to spin it.
Something like: "Obama rise in poll numbers is lower than expectations."

4. Several stories in recent past about polls being untrustworthy..
even the "respected" ones like Gallup, and PEW.
Obama only has 55% approval???????

6. Promises they haven't gotten yet? Although his promises also mentioned time/work. Since they'd
rather believe the worst and media, it's Obama who must be trustworthy. Rise might be because he's getting more involved in health care, unlike media saying the opposite. Maybe they didn't call the deep south as much. Maybe he wasn't that low to begin with. A speech to re-engage with our guy is needed about now, and he needs to reassure about his economic stewardship.

7. Funny how the media
suddenly went quiet. Weren't they all yammering about plumeting poll numbers, single term, lame duck etc just a few days ago?

Why is Faux noise not constantly showing the front page of Gallup like they were last week.

Damn I hate those 24 hr networks with a passion... bunch of fucking wanna be journalists.

9. Now that's unfair to Faux News bloviators -- many show no evidence of wanting to be journalists.
At least, it's certainly evident in their behavior.

11. Polls will go up and down

I never understood people's fascination with approval rating polls. The other polls that matter are on election day.

12. Especially now
We're more than a year away from the next real election and more than 3 years away from the next Presidential election. I think these polls are simply designed to keep the 24 hr noise media in business, there are only so many car chases and missing pretty white girls to talk about.
