Seems, according to the above link, Charlie is "livid" over Diane getting his old job. I'm sure her ratings will be far superior to his. Plus the fact she's not a white, fat, pasty ole guy. Maybe it's me, and I do know she's more or less a "news reader" but it still put a huge smile on my face to know Charlie is not happy. Hope that's true.

As for GIBSON, I think I saw somewhere he's pals with Brit HUME, and it shows. I still remember an occasion he was badgering President CLINTON, until the prez got his dander up and used a Southern regionalism, "O.K., if you want me to be HONEST with you..."

"Honest" as a Southernism connotes being BLUNT and RUDE to the point of hurting-your-feelings.

I'm thinking of Charlie Charles GIBSON being pals with Brit-TrophyWife-HUME. HUME was at ABC and used to snipe at Peter JENNINGS's editorial choices, which HUME considered to be Liberal.

Are you meaning that WALLACE and GIBSON are the pals?

In my anecdote it was GIBSON vs CLINTON, although there are thousands of OTHER anecdotes with OTHER media monkeys badgering CLINTON.

As for Baby WALLACE, when he jumped to Faux, I had sort of thought of him as vaguely Lib or moderate, more from the reputation of 60 Minutes and Daddy's supposed osmosis there, but have finally concluded that the WALLACEs are just JERKS.

I do remember Wallace doing it a few years ago, and Bill leaning into him.

As for GIBSON, my take is that bottom he is a lightweight, a wus, not an intrepid reporter, and not an imposing anchor.
