Burn up the phone lines no public option = no bill
Edited on Thu Sep-03-09 01:15 PM by Botany
This "Trigger" plan White House / Sen. Snowe will kill the public option. Tell them no way.

White House
1-202-456-1111

Congressional Switchboard
(202)224-3121

**************

This trigger proposal is nothing more than a way to keep pumping money to the insurance companies. And when this
so called "trigger" fires that will call for the public option what do you think the for profit insurance companies will do?
They will fight "it" tooth and nail because they will want to keep making their billions on pain and suffering.

BTW Did we win the election?

1. BTW Did we win the election?
No, the only winners seem to be the special interests.

As usual we lost.

3. The trigger makes no sense.
All the insurance companies will have to do is keep their premiums just below the threshold set by the trigger. As soon as a Repuke is back in the WH, premiums will go up and the trigger will mean nothing.

Forget the trigger. The PO will force insurance companies to lower premiums, period! We won't have to worry about thresholds or promises. I don't understand why Obama or anyone else insists on giving the insurance companies a chance to do the right thing. They have NEVER done the right thing - what the hell makes anyone think they'll do it now? They're not going to change their business practices until they are forced to.

If you're going to do reform, then do reform! None of this "half-way, let's-see-what-happens, maybe-it-will-get-better" bullshit! :grr:
