Which is better: Almanac of American Politics or CQ's Politics in America?

I've been buying AAP since it started coming out in the 70's, and the new issues is due out later this month. Its a useful index of political districts, elected officials, election results and voting patterns. However, it's edited by Michael Barone, who's become much more partisan, at least in his TV appearances.

Congressional Quarterly publishes its own summary: "Politics in America", which is about the same price. Any opinions about how the two books stack up?
