Below is a a clip from an article from this afternoon's email blast from the ATL Business Chronicl, but first a little RT rant time:
May I just say: what the fuck is wrong with god-damned business-luvin'-to-the-absolute-detriment-of-its-ill-informed-electorate (excepting us few Democrats!)-republican-party in this god-damned state?!?
Why is it a given that those fuck-sticks will constantly champion the businesses when none of those small-penised-gun-totin'-abortion-hatin-but-death-penalty-lovin'-asswipes couldn't give one rat's ass about the 10 homeless guys/gals that I drive past every fucking day sleeping underneath 75/85 in Downtown Atlanta?
What about all the kids in our state with the poorly-underfunded school system and the significantly underpaid teachers who bust their asses every day because they love their job and care about their students - care enough to spend $ from their own pockets keeping the classroom stocked with essentials?
Just fucking crickets chirping from those repukes... BUT, we can have a fucking state-wide referendum (which is absolutely unheard of in this state - and the southeast to my knowledge) to keep the guvmint and its directives (whatever form they may take) out of the big business's pocket books in this state - fucking republican "values" at work.
Chip Rogers - I don't know how you can sleep at night, but I presume your bed is lined with $$$$$$$$$$$ from your corporate masters. Fuck you.

A group of Georgia Senate Republicans unveiled a proposal Thursday that would let Georgians essentially opt out of federal health care reform.
The GOP senators said they plan to introduce a constitutional amendment during this winter’s General Assembly session giving Georgians the right to choose whether they want to enroll in any health insurance plan and prohibiting governments from punishing those who decide not to participate.
...
The constitutional change, which would be subject to a statewide referendum in November 2010, is aimed at proposals before Congress to create a government-run health insurance option and require businesses either to offer insurance to their employees or pay a penalty.
“We’re telling Democrats in Washington, D.C., that proposals to deny or limit access to the purchase of private health care are simply unacceptable,” said Senate Majority Leader Chip Rogers, R-Woodstock. “Our basic freedoms are at risk with the government-run health care proposals coming out of Washington.”
