Just Watching MSNBC & Tamron Hall Interview The Woman At Steele's Town Hall......
All she wanted to do was ask a question and felt frustrated by the format of the Town Hall - the had to write down questions and none were answered. So she stood up and yelled out to Steele.

That's not what I really wanted to comment about even though the way Steele treated her was deplorable.

What set me off was Tamron Hall. This lady was making a point and said something to the effect that her mother is dead now - but what she is concerned for is the 47 or 50 million people out there that don't have health insurance.

Tamron Hall stopped her and said - "I got to ask you this - because you used the numbers (47-50 million people)you are not from some organization that put you up to yell out at this Town Hall are you?".

The girl said "no" she's a waitress in D.C.

What frosted me - just because this girl might have followed the debate on health care reform and knew something - like 47 to 50 million American's don't have health insurance - she was suspected of being a plant.

Does Tamron Hall expect all American's not to know those figures? Does she feel that we're all dumb and stupid and can't quote numbers and we're not informed? That really pissed me off.

So now if you know something about this issue - you are suspected of being put up by some organization or group.

What has happened to this country?

1. I took it the opposite way - that Tamaron was giving her an
opportunity to reveal herself as an average person, not a plant, so that the right couldn't attack her.

I guess it's a different perspective, to me it seemed like a preemptive move by Tamaron.

7. Seems a little strange that she'd do that but maybe not
if you look at your way. Ms. Hall could have been getting an answer to a question she was sure she would get from somewhere.

13. I agree.
(And you KNOW Michelle Malkin's probably already got this lady's address and phone number, ready to publish so her minions can harass her once they verify she's "regular folks.")

2. It may be due to our present "media"/"journalists" really are very
poorly informed, and have no real facts at their fingertips. They do not understand that most of us are a hell of a lot smarter than most of them. If called on the phone with a little notice, most DU members could sit in for all of them and moderate a well informed and inclusive conversation. Tamron is probably ticked off because she didn't know this and the woman, rightfully, sounded so much smarter.

3. they always accuse you of what they do- like that phony "college student" who misled our president
when he had the opportunity to ask a question, he lied to POTUS by claiming ot be a mere college student, when he was actually a legistaive aide for a very RW... congressman I think?
Anyway, just goes to show, it'as all smoke and mirrors and they lie like rugs all day long. to anyone who;'ll listen.

10. Here's one. There were a lot of threads on DU about it.
http://thepoliticalcarnival.blogspot.com/2009/08/republican-senators-aide-gets-press-for.html

Remember that student who challenged President Obama to "an Oxford style debate" at the Grand Junction town hall meeting the other day? It turns out he is actually an aide to Greg Brophy, a rightie-wingy Republican state senator.

4. Her Fox experience showing?
Just kidding but really. I'm a little surprised Hall asked her that question.

5. Tamron is usually very good.
She probably was trying to scotch the howls about the lady being a plant.

8. I know she is ;)
But you know the RW is going to say it anyway, no matter what.

Sad when people can not tell the different between a real person with real issues from the manufactured junk they're fed by the GOP.

9. Contessa asked her the same question earlier
Perhaps the reason for the question is to establish that this young woman isn't a plant, unlike the fakirs that hoot and holler courtesy of freedomworks and friends.

14. The suspicion that she might be a plant
is not unreasonable given the tactics of the repubs.
