"each morning we liberals get in line outside RNC headquarters"
"Each morning, we liberals get into line on the sidewalk outside RNC headquarters. We take a number, awaiting our chance to drive that second conservative message. When our number is finally called, we bellow and wail about our own greatness—and about the stupidity, craziness, bigotry and evil of the average (white) tea-bagger. As the tea-baggers watch us act out, they see this message confirmed.

The RNC needn’t lift a finger. In our pseudo-liberal stupidity, we sell this message for them."

What message are we selling? The second part of conservative spin, according to Somerby

"It’s simple-minded—but it works. On our side, we stand in line to help. For decades, almost all conservative spin has derived from two simple messages. When you get to work with such clear messaging, being a conservative pundit is the easiest job in the world:

Big government never did anything right.
Liberal elites think they’re better than you are."

Not only do we think we are better than they are, we hate them for not being as good as we are.

2. But the moralist right wing Religicons do the same thing...
...we get the moral superiority in spades every day. In fact, they claim to have God on their side.

That would make us...Satan.

Most people, left, right and center suffer from an enormous case of projection.

5. that is a good point
but could that be pushback? Compensate for intellectual inferiority with moral superiority.

Is there any doubt that our side does it though?

Most people suffer from a double standard too. If I tell a lie it is just a little fib, a white lie, whereas if somebody else does it they are a "focking liar".

7. In the end...
...there are no sides. We all are remarkably similar in our actions.

In general, the things that most anger us about others are the things we don't like in ourselves.

That is why the Religious Right had to find their doppelganger in groups like the Taliban.

It would all be pretty amusing if it wasn't so dangerous.

A lot of people die because of projection.

3. The teebaggers are going to risk getting swine flu because they
fear the vaccine is a mind-control drug.

We are better than they are, and I hate them with every fiber of my being.

4. We are better
We are smarter. We are superior. For example, I know to use the Spell Check feature before I post.

6. that does not always help
I saw some recent posts of my own where I used "that" instead of "than" and "an" instead of "and". Nothing wrong with the spelling.

And me with 8 years of collige.

8. The more often you attend church, the more likely you are to approve of torture..
That's all I need to know to rest assured that I am indeed more moral than the other side.

Some things are just that simple, just that black and white.
